Terms of use

The app

Zikra lil-Alameen is free to use. By using it you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

The Quran text and other content

• The Arabic text of the Quran is the King Fahd Glorious Quran Printing Complex's Hafs text (version 2.0), shown exactly as published and checked letter by letter.
• Translations, tafsir, transliteration, recitations, athkar and other content come from the sources named on the Sources page. Some translations are made with the help of machines; they are labelled as such and may contain mistakes.
• A translation or a tafsir explains the meaning; it is not the Quran itself.

Religious guidance

The app is a tool for reading, listening and remembrance. It does not give religious rulings. For questions of practice, ask a qualified scholar.

Prayer times and Qibla

Prayer times are calculated from your location, and a phone compass can be off by several degrees. Please check them against your local mosque.
